I live in Vermont because it is a beautiful place in all seasons.  Summer brings deep lakes and cold rivers for swimming, fall invites us outdoors with incredible color and clear, crisp days.  Winter nights can be long, but they leave plenty of time for sewing, and many days are full of skiing, sledding and skating.  Spring brings more colors of green than I have names for, and time to renew our connection to the earth in our gardens.

Though I fell in love with the land when I moved here after college, I stayed because of the people.  Here in Vermont, I find many people, like myself, who are working to let their passion become their livelihood.  My neighbors are downtown shop owners, dance teachers, massage therapists, photographers, and book designers.
